WineGod Imports: From Vision to Reality

If you had told me years ago that I’d be building my own wine distribution company, I might have laughed and poured us another glass. Yet here we are, and WineGod Imports is more than just a business—it’s a mission, a passion, and a testament to the journey of Black excellence in the wine industry.

I’ve spent decades in wine and spirits, from managing shops to working as a sommelier and beverage director. I’ve tasted, studied, and sold thousands of wines, always searching for the bottles that tell a story. But one thing became clear: too many great wines, especially those crafted by Black winemakers and emerging producers, weren’t getting the distribution they deserved.

That’s how WineGod Imports was born—out of necessity, vision, and the drive to change the game.

Starting this company wasn’t easy. New York’s wine distribution landscape is fiercely competitive, and getting licensed, securing partnerships, and building a client base all required patience, persistence, and an unshakable belief in what we’re creating. The goal wasn’t just to move cases but to bridge the gap between exceptional wines and the people who should be drinking them.

WineGod Imports operates with a simple philosophy: highlight quality wines for the people by the people that often go overlooked, ensure that independent retailers and restaurants have access to them, and create opportunities for brands that align with our ethos. We started with 50 accounts and a solid sales strategy, factoring in New York State taxes, import fees, and Park Street logistics. Each year, we’re projected to grow—because the demand for these wines is real.

This journey has also been personal. It’s about legacy. It’s about representation. It’s about proving that we don’t just belong in this industry—we help define it. The support has been humbling. Im looking forward to seeing WineGod Imports’ name on invoices, in restaurants, and  on shelves its reminds me why we do this.

To all the wine lovers, retailers, and producers who believe in this vision—thank you. This is just the beginning. Raise a glass. The revolution is being bottled, one case at a time.

In Wine We Trust,

WineGod
